The Past Four Months

As of January 1st, 2014, we have officially been living in Skip for FOUR MONTHS. I know, I can hardly believe it myself. And... I have barely any proof of it because of my really bad habit of not capturing moments and events by taking pictures. Obviously this is something that needs to change for someone who writes a blog, and it will I am sure, as I post more consistently. Then again, I can't say that much has gone on by way of "adventures" as I was student teaching and non-stop busy for the four months, while Stevie works in a restaurant every weekend. However, we did get to do a little bit and of course, adjusting to living in a 19-foot R.V. is always an adventure.

For the time being, I will post the pictures that I did take over the past four months...

Me on our "stoop" in Carlsbad, where we went "camping" (is it still considered camping if we sleep in our house?) over Thanksgiving Break.

The view from the top of Carlsbad State Beach.

Our romantic candle lit dinner of Top Ramen and red wine :)

Ugh. Yes, it's a "selfie." I am ashamed to admit it. BUT I love getting pictures of Little cuddling, especially with me!

Little playing poker with us.... she was my partner and yes, WE WON!

I was greeted by this when I stepped out of our front door one morning on my way to teach.

The night before my last day of student teaching!!! YAY! And yes, this is a "good" picture of us... you should see some of them :S

Our first and only "warning," as of yet. We drove up from lunch and saw a parking enforcement police officer measuring our home. (Awkward if we would have been inside!) Once he left, we walked up and found this warning stating that we have to move Skippy within three days. Funny thing is that we only parked there for that one night so we could go out downtown and walk home, instead of paying for a cab.

Arts and crafts time... this has been one of the hardest things for me to sacrifice, which is the space for not only doing crafts but also for storing all of my supplies.

Well, that sums up a fraction of what we've actually accomplished in the past four months, but it will have to do. Stay tuned, more to come!
